For the parts

of chronic illness

that no ones else sees

Living with chronic illness affects far more than your physical health.

It can change the way you relate to yourself, your body and the future you imagined for your life. Even when you have supportive people around you, there may be parts of your experience that feel difficult to explain or unseen by others.

You may find yourself grieving changes you never expected, adjusting to a body that feels unpredictable or wondering how illness fits into the person you are becoming.

Therapy can offer a place to talk about these experiences with someone who understands the complexity of living with chronic illness.

Together, we can explore the impact illness has had on your life while making room for what matters to you moving forward.

Conditions I Commonly Work With

Autoimmune Conditions

Multiple sclerosis (MS), type 1 diabetes, Crohn’s disease, autoimmune and inflammatory arthritis, lupus and more.

Dysautonomia & Connective Tissue Disorders

POTS, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) and related conditions involving the autonomic nervous system and the ways it affects daily functioning.

ME/CFS

ME/CFS and the challenges that come with post-exertional malaise (PEM), brain fog and fluctuating energy.

Neurological Conditions

Epilepsy, unexplained seizure disorders and other neurological conditions, with an understanding that symptoms can be influenced by hormonal changes and other factors affecting the body.

Lyme Disease & Complex Chronic Illness

Persistent symptoms following Lyme disease treatment, Long COVID and other complex conditions that may involve ongoing symptoms and uncertainty.

Chronic Pain & Invisible Illness

Fibromyalgia, migraines, chronic pelvic pain, PCOS, endometriosis and other conditions where symptoms may not always be visible to others.

Topics We Might Explore Together

Identity & Grief

Making sense of how chronic illness has changed your life and sense of self. Exploring grief for the life you imagined while finding ways to reconnect with who you are now.

Pacing & Energy Management

Learning to work with your body’s changing energy instead of constantly pushing past your limits. Exploring ways to recognize your needs and create a more sustainable relationship with daily life.

Planning for an Uncertain Future

Living with questions about work, relationships and the future when your health feels unpredictable. Making space for the uncertainty while figuring out what matters most to you.

Sharing Your Story

Finding language to explain your illness and deciding who you want to share it with. Building confidence in your experiences without feeling pressure to justify what you are going through.

Navigating Ableism & Internalized Expectations

Exploring how messages about productivity and independence can shape the way you see yourself. Making space for a life that fits your needs rather than expectations placed on you.

Relationships & Boundaries

Navigating friendships, family relationships and dating while living with chronic illness. Exploring how to communicate your needs without feeling like you have to constantly explain your experience.

Disordered Eating & Chronic Illness

Exploring the complicated relationship between food, treatment recommendations and your body. Making sense of how illness can affect the way you relate to nourishment and eating.

Cycle-Aware Care

Exploring how hormonal changes throughout your menstrual cycle may influence symptoms and energy. Learning to recognize patterns and adjust expectations in ways that best support your body.

For many people living with chronic illness, finding a therapist who understands the complexity of their experience can feel difficult. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood from the beginning and where you do not have to spend your time explaining why illness can deeply affect your life.

My work is informed by my clinical training and my lived experience with chronic illness. I understand what it is like to navigate unpredictable symptoms, ongoing medical care and the changes that come with living in a body that does not always feel predictable.

I also bring an understanding of the practical realities of chronic illness, including pacing, spoon theory, biologic medications, IVIG, infusion treatments and insulin pump therapy. I recognize the mental effort that goes into managing a complex condition, from tracking symptoms to making decisions within an evolving medical picture. This allows our work to focus less on explaining the medical context and more on how illness has affected your life.

My Approach

Ready to get started?

If you are interested in working together, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. We can talk about what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you have and see if we would be a good fit.

If you already feel ready to begin, you can also schedule a 60-minute intake session and we can start from there.

I look forward to connecting with you!
