Neurodivergent Therapy in
New York
Virtual Therapy for Neurodivergence
For the parts of
yourself that have
always felt different
Being neurodivergent can shape the way you experience yourself and the world around you.
You may have spent years feeling like you needed to work harder to keep up. You may have learned to hide parts of yourself or adapt to expectations that were not designed with your brain in mind. Even when you appear successful on the outside, the effort it takes to move through daily life may not always be visible to others.
Therapy can be a place to explore these experiences without judgment or pressure to change who you are. Together, we can build a better understanding of yourself and find approaches that work with your brain rather than against it.

Neurodivergent Experiences I Support
-
Exploring the ways executive functioning, motivation and organization can affect daily life. Support may include understanding your unique patterns and finding strategies that fit how your brain works.
-
Supporting autistic adults who are exploring their identity and making sense of past experiences. Therapy can be a place to better understand yourself without feeling pressure to mask or conform.
-
Exploring the experience of having both ADHD and autism traits and the ways these can interact in daily life. Many people with AuDHD describe feeling like common strategies do not fully fit their needs.
-
Making sense of a diagnosis later in life and revisiting past experiences through a new understanding of yourself.

A Neurodivergent-Affirming Approach
For many neurodivergent people, finding a therapist who understands their experience without trying to change who they are can feel difficult. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood and where you do not have to spend therapy explaining why certain things have always felt harder than they appear.
My work is informed by my clinical training and my understanding of neurodivergent experiences. My own experience with late diagnosis and self-discovery also shapes the way I approach this work. I understand that discovering your neurodivergence can bring a new perspective on yourself and your past experiences. It can also bring complicated emotions as you reflect on the support you may have needed earlier in life.
I approach neurodivergence with curiosity and respect for the way your brain processes the world around you. I believe therapy should start with understanding rather than trying to make you fit into a particular way of functioning. Together, we can identify what has been difficult while recognizing the strategies you have already developed. We can find approaches that better support your life.
-
Recognizing that you are the expert on your own experience. Therapy is collaborative and shaped by your perspective, with space to explore what has worked for you and what you want to better understand.
-
Supporting a kinder relationship with yourself, especially if you have spent years feeling like you are falling short. This approach can help reduce shame and create more understanding around your experiences.
-
Exploring how to make room for difficult thoughts and emotions while moving toward a life that reflects your values. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can be helpful when navigating uncertainty and the pressure to meet expectations that do not fit.
-
Recognizing the strengths you bring and the strategies you have developed throughout your life. Exploring how those strengths can support you in creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
-
Recognizing the abilities you have developed while navigating a world that may not always fit your needs. Exploring your own motivations and supporting change that feels meaningful to you.
-
Recognizing that repeated experiences of misunderstanding or having your needs dismissed can leave an impact. This approach considers your past experiences may shape the way you see yourself and interact with the world.
